At the age of 17 I went straight from school into employment as a Bank Official.

Throughout my career I enjoyed great job satisfaction, but after 30 years, I had come to the stage where I needed to experience new challenges, as well as a new pace of life.

The opportunity arose in a quite unexpected way.

While attending my local Slimming World group, our Consultant announced a forthcoming event to recruit new consultants. It seemed really interesting so I went along to find out more.

Almost two years on, I have left the Bank and am working part-time as a self-employed Consultant. My job involves motivating and encouraging group members towards better nutrition and a healthier lifestyle, and the skills learned during my former career are still helping me today in so many ways.

There are certainly many challenges, but I am enjoying a very new and satisfying career.
