What is Work4UPlus³?

Work4UPlus³ is a programme of activities, funded by the Big Lottery, to help young people who need extra support and training to overcome the barriers that stop them getting into education, employment or training, or make it difficult to stay in them.

Who is eligible?

Any young person who is at risk of disengaging from Education, Employment or Training and has been referred to us by one of our referral partners:
FutureProof or Education Authority, and is committed to completing the programme of activities.

We can also take referrals from a rage of secondary partners, or directly by contacting the work4uplus³ team.

What Support is Available?

Work4UPlus³ provides a range of support for young people - including:

Prepare 4 life

• Life skills, personal needs assessment, confidence building and accredited courses in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Prepare 4 work

• Employability Skills, work experience placements, on the job support and one to one mentoring to assist with this experience.

Prepare 4 business

• Business Skills learn about the world of business, meet business champions, generate an idea and test it with your group!

Prepare 4 volunteering

• Community & Voluntary Skills learn about the community and voluntary sector, give something back, volunteer with a local community group and generate an idea with your group to improve it!

Prepare 4 your future

• The Future 4U explore your future self, through physical and self-awareness activities, life planning and budgeting.
  
  
• Job Opportunities Fairs attend job fairs, talk to real employers, explore the opportunities that are currently available.
  
  
• Outcomes assistance is available whatever you decide: on the courses needed for a return to education, CV writing and job searches for employment or internship, business planning for self-employment, or matching your skills for volunteering.
