Declan McAleenan

Sports have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I began karate training at the age of 8 and went on to represent Ireland from the age of 12, travelling to Dublin up to 5 nights per week to train with the National Karate team. During this time I had the opportunity to travel extensively and compete at the highest level in karate in places such as; Japan, Morocco, Spain and Italy. I achieved a European title along with many International medals and 12 All Ireland Titles.

My mixed martial arts career began at the age of 20 and this life choice was one of the best career decisions that I have made. Every day I get to do what I am passionate about. During my amateur career I held 3 Titles under organisations and shows, including; ISKA N.Ireland, Clanwars and UXC. I turned professional at the age of 24 and train regularly in America and have been to Brazil with the highest skilled athletes in the field. I have attained two Regional Pro Titles under Cage Legacy and Akuma Fighting Championships. I currently fight on one of the biggest platforms in Europe in Cage Warriors and am steadily progressing to the prestigious UFC.

Through years of hard work and dedication I have been fortunate enough to be sponsored and was able to resign from my job last year, this allowed me to focus on my professional MMA career. I have able to establish DMcA The Demon Training and this has allowed me the opportunity to teach young children from the age of 7, teenagers and adults mixed martial arts, I do this alongside training full time and working my way to the top.
